Welcome to BBGossip! We are now in our 6th year of Big Brother coverage, having started out back in the days of BB3 in 2002, we have covered pretty much everything that has happened in and around the house since then throughout all the series'.
BBGossip is a news portal and a community. News is posted on the front page throughout every day, giving you a broad perspective of how the media/bloggers/fansite owners are covering the phenomenon. You'll find most of the community within the 'Running Commentaries' which are posted every day at midnight and stay at the top of the news articles. These also contain all the Live Updates from the house, which can be filtered out at your leisure from the chit-chat. If you want, however, become a news-gossipper and use the 'Gossip' links next to news articles to add your tuppence, it's a great way to get noticed, as few gossippers do that!
I hope it is a user-friendly experience and that you'll keep coming back for more! Who knows, you may even get a star if you post enough!

BBGossip's history
I built BBgossip from scratch over many sleepless nights - and it was all done (and still edited to this day) in Notepad. I know, d'oh! The site was launched in the evening of May 17th, 2002.
The site rather quickly obtained a regular set of gossipers, many of which still post huge amounts of comments and live updates every day, 5 years after they first found us!
In August 2006 we had our first meetup where 30 of us sat and watched the BB final on a big screen in a hotel in Sheffield. If you missed it, look out for meetup number 2 this year!
The Concept
The concept of BBgossip was inspired by fark.com - a great news portal, which I have wasted many a productive moment at.
In the spirit of Web 2.0 (whatever that means) the whole site is user generated content. It doesn't work unless you work it, and by jove some of the regulars here deserve (and indeed get) medals for their efforts!
